1)  What types of events are you able to perform at?

- We are able to provide wedding music services for all religions and musical tastes.  While our main speciality is music for weddings, we also provide musical services for corporate events as well as other private parties.  Sporting events, fundraisers for non-profit organizations, bar- and bat-mitzvahs as well as conventions, we are capable of pleasing anyone who needs musical support! 

2)  How do your music packages work?

- You can certainly pick an advertised package as is.  However, they are meant to be a planning guide for you.  We can mix and match until we have found exactly what you are looking for.  Feel free to inquire about price for any of the packages, or any of the ensembles, bands, or DJ services individually.  Also, if you are having a theme wedding, and say for instance you wanted a Journey tribute band...we can get you that band as part of a package, even though you don't see that band on our website.  Whatever you need, we'll get it for you.

3)  What sets your musicians apart from other companies' musicians?

- Think of us as a music planning service, not a talent agency!  Our musicians are hand-picked.  Musicians that you hire from Washington Celebrations have an active career in music.  Our string and wind instrumentalists come from various DC area ensembles, to include all four Military Bands (the US Army Band, the US Marine Band, the US Navy Band, and the US Air Force Band), the National Symphony Orchestra, as well as the other numerous symphonies, operas, and ensembles based here.  The performers in our bands also work with studios in the area as well.  Their current professions include performers, composers, teachers, audio/recording engineers, and conductors.  The average musical education of our musicians is a Master's Degree in Music.  We do not hire "weekend warriors" like other companies do.  You'll be able to hear and see the difference.

4)  Why not just hire independent musicians...why should I hire musicians from your company?

- Washington Celebrations works with independent musicians and ensembles in the DC area to provide you with the same competitive pricing as well as the assurance that you're working with a reputable company.  We are licensed and insured, and are trusted by both clients and musicians alike. 

5)  Why are you able to keep your rates lower than your competitors?

- The reason is that we are a web-based company.  We don't pay for traditional office space, so we have very low overhead costs and can pass the savings onto you.  Furthermore, we can compensate our musicians better, which raises the quality of our services.  It's a WIN-WIN-WIN!! 

6)  How does the contract process work?

- Once you decide who you'd like to perform at your event, we draft a contract for you.  Then it is sent to you via email from a website named "EchoSign," which is a secure online signature service.  Once we are both comfortable and have signed the contract, EchoSign sends both parties a legal signed copy (PDF) with an official transaction number.  Once both parties have received their signed copy, the deposit is due.

7)  What payment methods do you accept?

- We accept personal checks, cashier's check, money order, as well as all major credit/debit cards via PayPal.  PayPal does charge processing fees (2.8% plus $0.30). 

8)  Do you offer multiple deposit/payment options?

- Yes.  Typically, a 50% deposit is due at the signing of the contract, and the other 50% is due two weeks before the event.  We do provide different payment plans on an individual basis, depending on need and the unique situation of the client.

9)  Who handles the planning process for my event...how is music selected?

- As soon as you sign your contract, you are given the contact information of the musician(s) that will be performing at your event.  You speak with them directly.  All our musicians are versed in standard repertoire for their particular specialty (wedding ceremony, jazz, Top 40, etc...) and are more than happy to learn special music for your event.
