The Competition - Some wedding/event bands or agencies hire freelance musicians who are not always rehearsed with the group. They perform with the band for the first time at your event. Other "live bands" use sequenced music or perform with karaoke-style backup tracks to "enhance" their sound. "Hey, how is that keyboard player playing the piano, bass, strings and horn parts all at the same time?!?" You should ask yourself, "What would happen if their computer crashed during my First Dance?"
Your hard-earned money deserves the best in live music, not a karaoke machine hiding subpar musicianship! Do your research and hire a band that you can go see perform live. We encourage you to check out our competition and see if they gamble with pre-programmed music. Videos are a great way to get a first impression of a band, but don't always rely on them. BackBeat's specialty is wedding and special event entertainment. From beginning to end, they work with your catering staff, photographers and videographers, and event planners to seamlessly time each aspect of your party. They will be a part of your event, not overshadow it. BackBeat includes male and female vocalists and a three-man horn section.
Moonlight Dance Orchestra - 20s & 30s Era Dance Music
Moonlight Dance Orchestra is an 11-13 piece ensemble that plays music from the 1920s and 30s. This music will take you back to the time of flappers and speakeasies. Foxtrots, waltzes, tangos and charlestons make up most of the repertoire. All are eminently danceable! The unique sound of the group will add a distinguished, yet fun, atmosphere to any occasion.

Soul Expressions - 5-piece R&B, Funk, Reggae
Soul Expressions is a high-energy soul band that can play funk, rock, reggae, jazz, and Motown, as well as today’s top hits. Their instrumentation includes bass, drums, lead and rhythm guitars, keys, sax, and vocals. Versatility is the key, with each person contributing something different. Each member is a seasoned professional on their instrument, but they still know how to keep it fresh.
