Washington Celebrations is a Music Planning Service, not a talent agency.  We provide the best in musical services for weddings and other special events.  Our belief is that every event is unique, and we will do our best to enrich and enhance every function.  Our musician corps is the greatest asset of our company.  Washington Celebrations not only utilizes the best musicians; we ensure that these musicians are well-versed in event etiquette and professionalism.

Washington Celebrations provides solo and section musicians, chamber music ensembles, bands, and orchestras for any event.  Service does not stop there.  Washington Celebrations works with you to find the best possible match for your desired atmosphere, including creating special musical ensembles and/or composing original compositions and arrangements. 

Notes about the founders

Mike Hooke

Mike, a percussionist in the United States Army Band "Pershing's Own," started his
professional music career during his college days at Louisiana State University.  While
at LSU, he was a member of the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra and performed
with such artists as Charlie Daniels; Blood, Sweat, and Tears; Ben Vereen; and the
Four Freshmen. Mike has over fifteen years of experience managing numerous
ensembles of various styles. Throughout the years, he has worked with event
leaders and administrators to create wonderful partnerships and professional
relationships.

Mike holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance from LSU and is currently
finishing work on a Master's Degree in Arts Management from George Mason
University. 

Kevin Gebo

Kevin, a trumpeter by trade, has performed in concerts with such distinguished groups as the Lyric Opera of Los Angeles and the London Symphony Orchestra.  He has also performed with such artists as Jon Faddis, Lalo Schifrin, Joshua Bell, David Daniels, Burt Bacharach, and Chanticleer.  Kevin can be found playing principal trumpet on the Naxos recording of William Bolcom's "Songs of Innocence and Experience," which won four Grammy awards in 2006, including "Best Classical Album".  Kevin is also a current member of the United States Army Band "Pershing's Own."

Kevin received his Bachelor's Degree in Trumpet Performance from the University of Michigan and his Master's Degree at the University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA).  Currently, he is completing work on his Doctoral Degree in Music from Catholic University.
